HOPE Dementia Support offers hope to care partners of those experiencing memory loss.
HOPE Dementia Support provides Support, Education and Advocacy to care partners AND their loved ones living with all types of dementia.
In 2022, HOPE became a program of CDM Caregiving Services, another local non-profit. This change enhances our opportunity to serve care partners and their loved ones.
HOPE offers:
- Support groups for care partners that meet weekly
- Shared Journey Support groups for those living with early-stage memory loss and their care partners
- New Beginnings Support Group for those that have lost someone to dementia
- Community Education offered monthly, with guest presenters who are experts in their field. This is offered on Zoom and open to anyone who wishes to attend.
- Music & Memories – Led by a Certified Music Therapist, this is for the individual living with memory loss and their care partner
- Music in the Home – Two music therapy sessions provided by a Certified Music Therapist. Sessions can be individual to target personal therapeutic goals or community focused where friends and loved ones of the person living with dementia can be included, providing an opportunity to build and strengthen social connection through music.
- The Meet Me At…Series – A series of activities intended to enhance the quality of life for people living with dementia and their care partners, enabling them to participate and remain active and connected in their community. These include:
- Meet Me at the Movies: Monthly showings of classic musicals through partnership with the Kiggins Theatre
