My seatmate and I waited anxiously throughout the 2014 season for the FO (Front Office) to come out with the most obvious (to us) Portland landmark on their scarf series – the infamous Shanghai Tunnels running under the city which according to legend may have been used to take unlucky bar patrons to a life of indentured servitude aboard ships traveling far across the ocean. We took the idea for the scarf to the Timbers Army, and then to scarf angel Lionel Lynner, who worked with a group of scarf fanatics to bring our vision to life. Thank you so much Lionel and friends!

This scarf is being sold to benefit the CDM Caregiving Services “Aging with Dignity” Capital Campaign – we are building a new building to serve the roughly 750 seniors, children, and adults with disabilities that we help to stay in their own home every year. A new building is crucial to providing better service, and all funds raised will help match a grant we have secured to begin construction in early 2017. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Sets of 3 “Shanghai Tunnels” scarves will be $55 shipped, and sets with a special secret “Scarf Squad” scarf will be $75 shipped. No local pickups will be offered. Please register by using the buttons on this page AND Paypal funds to .
