One of the biggest challenges of aging is the isolation. Studies show that people who remain connected to the community have fewer health issues, lower incidence of falls, and lower rates of depression. ElderFriends is a program of CDM CaregivingServices that matches a trained volunteer with an isolated senior to create a bond designed to reduce isolation and loneliness.
ElderFriends is rooted in life’s simple pleasures, like close friends, laughter, and good food in pleasant surroundings.
If you know a senior who could use an ElderFriend, or are interested in volunteering, please call us today at (360) 896-9695 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. All volunteers must be 18 years old, complete our application process, attend training, complete background and reference checks, and commit to weekly visits to your ElderFriend for a minimum of one year.
